FAQ
Q: What is this project?
A: All Dogs Go to Heaven is a charity fan zine centred around the character Klint van Zieks from The Great Ace Attorney video game series. Participating artists will each contribute a piece of Klint van Zieks fanwork made during a creation period, at the end of which all pieces will be collected in a single volume that will be distributed to the public.Q: Which characters will be in the zine?
A: In addition to Klint van Zieks, the zine is also interested in depicting his relationships with Barok, Iris, Genshin, his wife, Stronghart, Balmung and other characters from ten years ago such as Yujin, Sholmes, Gregson, and Jigoku. While characters from the present day of the games (Ryunosuke, Susato, Kazuma, etc.) can be shown, all pieces must centre on and involve Klint van Zieks.Q: Will there be ship content? Will there be NSFW content? How about AUs?
A: AUs (both "canon compliant" AUs and drastically setting-altering AUs) will be allowed from contributors.Shipping content will be allowed to an extent, however, it should not become the focus of the zine. NSFW will not be allowed, so we would ask our applicants to keep their pitches PG13.Q: Can you read the zine without getting spoiled?
A: While the cover and promotional material will try to avoid blatant spoilers, it is impossible to explore Klint's character in depth without disclosing the events of the end of The Great Ace Attorney 2. The zine's contents will freely cover the entire plot of both The Great Ace Attorney games and spoilers will not be marked.Q: What mediums are allowed for zine pieces?
A: The zine will be open to accepting all mediums: art, writing, comics, photography, and more. You will be able to apply as a Page or Cover Artist, Page Writer, or Merch Artist.Q: Is the zine digital or physical? Will there be commemorative merch?
A: Due to extensive delays and changes in plans, the zine will remain purely digital. We would love to offer digital merch with the zine.Q: Who is allowed to participate in the zine? (And relatedly, who is barred from applying?)
A: We ask that all applicants be above the age of 18 by the time applications close.Furthermore, All Dogs Go to Heaven is a strict No Hate zone. Bigotry, hate, and harassment of all kinds, expressed on any online platform at any time, is grounds for immediate banning from the project. The zine mods reserve the right to retroactively remove accepted artists from the zine project for this and other disruptive behaviour.Other than in the case of the above behavior, the zine mods will not look into the history of the applicants before their acceptance into the zine. The zine team will only act to remove members from the project for their actions while working on the zine.If one would be made uncomfortable working on the same project as other nondisruptive zine artists, the only advice the zine team can offer is to reconsider applying.Q: Where will the proceeds go?
A: Due to a troubled development period, the zine will be offered on a pay-what-you-want basis. All profits raised this way will go to a charity, which has been decided to be Underdog Community ProjectAll participating artists and writers will receive a free copy of the completed digital zine.
